Comments:
I did not train in the weight room today. Instead I played with my daughter with Nerf guns, just a lot of chasing around. The key is to do something physical every day.
Generals rules about the cleanse:
If you are not going to commit 100%, don’t bother with it. Water boils and turns into steam at 100 degrees Celsius, 99 degrees does not do it.
You must exercise daily on the cleanse. If you don’t exercise, the lymph won’t move around. The lymph does not have a motor like the blood of the heart. The more you move, the more the lymph works. That is another reason why fat individuals have poor immune systems.
The first few days are the hardest. For me, having no fat in the diet was the hardest. So I had to make sure that the shakes came in regularly, otherwise I would be as pleasant as Charles Manson,= on crystal meth with a sore tooth, forced to listen to Barbara Streisand…
The cleaner your diet is, the easier it is to do the cleanse. I would say that for myself only the first day was hard.
Make sure to start the fast when you are off work. You will need to nap for the first few days. By day 4, I did not need to nap.
Make sure you do one form of external cleansing per day, such as infra-red saunas, massage, acupuncture, yoga, liver detox protocol on micro-current…
I am preparing more detox protocols over the next few days so that you can customize them for your own needs.

Re: My Seven Day Cleanse, Day 7
Charles, I will be in RI for Francine's seminar this weekend. I was wondering if you had this protocol as a package so that I can pick it up while I'm there.

Re: My Seven Day Cleanse, Day 7
Coach Poliquin,
You mentioned High Tech Health when I asked you about water filters. In this post you mentioned infra-red saunas as one means of external cleansing. Would High Tech Health's saunas be the way to go on this, as well?
In the past I recall someone mentioning to me that mercury fillings might make using one of these saunas contraindicated (although perhaps I merely misunderstood). I recognize that a detailed explanation is beyond the scope of a blog comments section, but are there any sources of information on FIR saunas that you'd recommend checking out (particularly with regard to contraindications)?
Thank you very much for all of your feedback. It is greatly appreciated.

Re: My Seven Day Cleanse, Day 7
Will you return to normal eating right away or taper up slowly? Could you provide some info/methods for the readers to do a detox/cleanse by themselves? There's so much info/commercial detox products out there that it's very confusing what's right or wrong. Thanks for all the info!

Re: My Seven Day Cleanse, Day 7
is slow jogging for 30 mins a good form of excercise for the day to clear the lymph?

Re: My Seven Day Cleanse, Day 7
Charles,
Great blog, I have really enjoyed the journey you have been on.
Silly question but what time do you go to bed? How many hours sleep a night do you aim to get? I just wonder as you wake up very early.
Thanks.

Re: My Seven Day Cleanse, Day 7
Coach Poliquin,
I am interested in using a FIR sauna. Is there a specific model that you recommend to ensure that it doesn't outgas undesirable substances? Are there any populations or specific circumstances where you'd advise against using these, or are they safe for most folks?
Thank you for any feedback.

Re: My Seven Day Cleanse, Day 7
David: I actually lost no weight on scale, I marginally lost fat. I stay at 6% year round so my thermostat is already set low. Luke: We will most likely have the protocol, however we have sold out on a lot of stuff.
Arthur: You should probably ask High Tech Health directly
Kishore: I went straight back to a Paleo diet, but decided to cleanse a minimum of 3 days a month.
Sean: Jogging? What language is that? Never seen the word.
Rufus: I shoot for 8 hours of sleep a night.

Re: My Seven Day Cleanse, Day 7
Hi Charles, Great work on your detox, they are hard. Just 2 questions 1. Waking up at 4.00-4.30 a.m. wouldn't that disrupt your circadian cycle, especially between 2.00 a.m and 6.00 a.m. which is your psychological repair 2. I use transdermal magnesium chloride myself, why didn't you apply it onto your shoulder, which you were using on your calf Just a acouple of thoughts Keep the great work up - Peter

Re: My Seven Day Cleanse, Day 7
Peter: 1) Depends at time you go to bed. I wake up at 4 , because I go to bed at 8 PM. And 2) You should apply where the skin is thinnest, depends on your body. Shoulder skinfold is usually higher than calves if you are properly balanced.
Daniele: You want to keep the glycemic as low as possible
