My Seven Day Cleanse, Day 6
1/30/2010 5:08 PM
Saturday January 30, 2010.
This is day six of my seven day nutritional cleanse.
Sleep was uninterrupted. Woke up at 4:00 to start my day. Could not wait to get out of bed to start my day.
What I learned from yesterday:
Concentration powers keep going up, and my shoulders feel awesome. I am so happy the crepitus is vanishing. Looking forward to the stretching seminar next week, my attention span will be so easy.
For me, even more magnesium is essential for detoxifying. It took 3 grams a day for the pain in my calves to dissipate. I suspect though that it is contributing to the laxative effect.
My Plan for day 6
The only two different things today will be that the veggie is going to be spinach and that I am going to have a bowl of purple rice at lunch. Jeff Volek turned me on to this type of rice. Jeff Volek, if you don’t know, is one the best exercise physiologist around.
Comments:
Going for another massage today with Sofia.
My GI tract is dumping loads of toxins, glad I am using that much fiber to pull it out.
The glutamine in such a high dose is essential to repair the intestinal lining. Glutamine is the primary repair ingredient for sealing any symptoms of leaky gut. It is also a superb immune booster.

Re: My Seven Day Cleanse, Day 6
do you think this type of cleanse will help a contest prep if it is done 14 weeks out from a show and woud it be good to reduce workout volume while on it.
Thanks for your time and best wishes for your daugther anniversary.

Charles,
Would you use glutamine to treat any type of intestinal pains? If so, in what doses?
Thanks, Michael

Thanks for these posts, Charles!
Quick question: What books would you recommend for learning more about detox?
Thank you again. =)

Coach Poliquin,
I meant to ask this question on one of your other posts.....is there a particular type of filtration system that you recommend for filtering water? I realize this may be a tricky issue since point-of-entry systems aren't an option for a lot of folks and water in the shower may be as much (or even more of) an issue compared to drinking water.

Re: My Seven Day Cleanse, Day 6
Michael: Yes, I'd use Glutamine.
Dawn: I think seminars are better for this. Many companies offer them.
Arthur: I use the Akai Filter which I purchased from www.hightechhealth.com/ - Ask for Bill Thomson
